This course is intended for Project Managers who need to create, manage and control project schedules in the Project Server 2010 environment. This course is for individuals working in an Enterprise Project Management (EPM) environment as a Project Manager. Students will learn how to use MS Project Professional and the PWA interface to manage projects and resources in the EPM environment.

PrerequisitesTo ensure your success, we recommend you have some working knowledge of your computers operating system, Microsoft Project Professional 2010 and MS Office Suite.

Microsoft Project Server 2010 for Project Managers
project_2007 Overview:
This three-day course is designed to teach project managers how to effectively manage projects and resources in the Project Server 2010 environment. Participants will learn how to initiate proposals and projects in the Project Web App (PWA), collaborate with project sites, interact with display grids in the Project and Resource centers, and manage task and timesheet updates. They will also learn how to work with the new Portfolio Management and Business Intelligence areas of Project Server 2010.

Prerequisites: To ensure your success, we recommend you have some working knowledge of general project management concepts, a basic knowledge of Microsoft Project 2010 and Microsoft Excel 2007/2010.
